Sport Rehabilitation
I diagnose injuries and postural issues, and can take you through comprehensive rehabilitation. Sessions in your home are focussed on assessment, manual therapies, hands-on treatment, and stretching and exercise instruction. A unique rehabilitation plan will be tailored to your needs, ability, and goals. Treatments are suitable for both new (‘acute’) and older (‘chronic’) injuries, and for pain and stiffness from everyday living, working, sitting, or driving.
An initial session typically lasts an hour and a half, with follow up sessions lasting an hour. In certain circumstances, it may be appropriate or desired to hold sessions in a gym or other exercise location.
Sport Massage
For clients wishing to recover quicker from training, relieve muscle tension, or improve their flexibility, I offer Sport Massage. Sport Massage is a deep form of Swedish Massage, focussed on relieving tension and lengthening tight muscles with a variety of firm-pressure strokes and stretching techniques. Pressure can be adapted to client needs as required.
Who is delivering the treatment?
I am a Master’s graduate (Sport Rehabilitation, University of Bolton), and Graduate Member of the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators with many years of experience in massage, personal training, and injury rehabilitation; working with sports teams, and private clients.
Pricing
An hour session in the Carlisle area (see map) or in the Oxford area (see map) costs £60. Additional hours cost £30 each. The first session will take about half an hour longer, as it will involve an initial assessment: there is no charge for this. Daytime, evening, or weekend appointments are available by agreement. Discounts are available for blocks of sessions, or a team of players.
